man when I watch TNG, I don’t find Wesley as annoying as everyone says he is? like sometimes he does (really) stupid shit, but

idk omg maybe I’m just biased because Wil Wheaton is so awesome

I remember everyone hating him back when it was on/more popular, and when I re-watched I realized he was my favorite character because he’s not perfect. He’s this fucked up little kid everyone’s calling “boy” who makes daddy-substitutes in his spare time. Maybe the show meant him to be a self-insert Gary Stu, but he comes off as troubled and that is why I like him.

This makes me happy. I loved Wesley almost from the beginning and couldn’t understand the awful rap he got. Poor Wesley!
